The three new criminal laws, sanctioned by the Parliament, are set to come into effect from July 1, the government said on Saturday. The government said Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, set to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Indian Evidence Act and the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), will come into force from July this year.
